Andy Renard

Associate Director of Policy and Political Affairs

In his role as the Associate Director of Policy and Political Affairs, Andy advances the DC Charter School Action’s electoral work and the DC Charter School Alliance’s advocacy efforts. Andy brings years of experience in politics and education to his work. His previous roles include numerous political and advocacy campaigns, and he spent many years teaching Social Studies & Civics at THE Edna Karr High School in New Orleans.

Andy holds a bachelors degree in Women's & Gender History & Philosophy from Clark University, a Certificate of Secondary Education from Tulane University, and an M.P.S. in Political Management from The George Washington University.

Andy lives in Richmond, Virginia with his wife Sierra, and their two rescue dogs, Roux and Roxie. He enjoys cooking, mixology, and watching his beloved New Orleans Pelicans.
